Hair Agents in China are going around their country so that they can take hair from little girls who have long hair, most of the girls don't want to but the parents do it for the money. Black Gold Link!
I think this article is about the kids around the world who get their hair cut so that their parents can get paid and the hair gets turned into a wig and the people who turns the hair into wigs try to leave no trace of the owner on the hair. Even if it's around the world hair is mostly cut in China and people sell them in the streets. I think this article is really important because it seems to me that the reason why parents over China are getting their daughters hair cut is because they really need the money for it and it seems like they are struggling to get some cause they are just in little villages. I think that this article is sad because of the way that the girls emotions stays the same before and after their hair is cut which is depressed or sad. The reason why I said depressed or sad is because of they way that the girls face looked. They are talking about how the kids are getting tricked into cutting their hair for a toy, some women get held down until the gang members chop off their hair. Did you know that the Kardashians dye their hair or make it longer every month so they are using a lot of hair for extensions.
The authors purpose of this article is to try and tell the audience that taking hair from little girls is a big problem because it seems to me that most of them don't want their hair to be cut. The reason I think that is because in the article is said that a girl didn't want her hair cut but her parents did so she tried to run away from home but her parents dragged her back to the hair agent so her hair could be cut. That's how desperate people in China want money. I think that the authors purpose of this article is to tell us that hair is being cut around the world mostly the virgin hair which means it hasn't been dyed yet, that is why they mostly go for the little girls because they don dye their hair.
The reason I think there is such high demand in hair is because their is many people who don't have much hair so they need a wig to cover their head so people around the world cut their hair to make profit over it. The most paid hair is virgin hair because it hasn't been dyed and people call virgin hair black gold because families and hair agents make a lot of money off of black gold. Dyed hair is also a lot of money but it isn't as much as black gold.
I think that kids around the world would still cut their hair but they won't sell it to hair agents they would either just cut their hair because it's too long or that they cut their hair so that they can give it to kids who need hair like kids with cancer. I think that it would be a big change around the world because the people who make money off hair like the parents who accept that their children has to get their hair cut might not have as much money as they did. I think it would be a huge difference in the world because their would be no hair agents and that kids won't have to suffer about looking like a boy.
My opinion: I think that cutting hair to make a profit out of it is disgusting and the parents who accept that their daughters hair getting cut is just sad because they probably don't even care about what their daughter wants.
The thing I found challenging about this was reading the article because their was like reading a whole novel in one hour. My next steps for next time is to include more information in my work and to write more sentences about what happened.
