Rugby Tournament

Today me and my friends went to the rugby tournament to represent our school. First we had to go to the hall for a meeting and so that we can get changed.After that our coach called out the names in the teams and their were the under 50’s team ripper rugby team and the over 50’s. After that we went outside and started walking.

While we were walking we started talking and laughing and most of us were excited and some had butterflies. We were all nervous but we were still having fun. When we were at Dunkirk we started putting our bags on the floor and then we started training.

When we finish training we ran to get weighed  and most of us were really heavy but the lightest was my friend Alazae he was 39 and I was 40. After that our game was on but the only thing that we were worried about was that the team we were versing was Pt England.  At the end of the match we only lost by 1 try but we were still happy about that.

After that we watched the girls team and they were really good because A girl named Maopa got all the tries and when they finished they won by one try and we were proud of them. After that we had another game and we beat them by a lot of tries and we were really proud of each other.

After that we went back to our tarpaulins so we can eat and talk to each other. While we were eating our coach told us only to eat a little because we might get a stitch during the game.

After that we versed sylvia park and we beat them by one point we were so happy but we still weren't in the finals. When we finished the game we ran straight the girls game so we can see them run and play. When the game finished they won again.

After that we went to watch the other game but it was only for a little while and then it was our turn again and we versed sylvia park again and then we beat them and we were going to the finals. We were so happy that we won the game.

Next we ran straight to our tarpaulins to celebrate. And we were nervous that we were versing Pt England again. After finishing all our food we went to watch the girls game and they won. Then we versed Pt England but after the game finished we lost by 2 try’s but we were still happy because we came second. After that we went to watch the girls game and they lost but we were still proud of them.

When we went back to our tarpaulins we went and ate but then we went to sit on the grass for prize giving. We were so happy that we were close to being 1st place but only the year seven and eight girls came first and we were so happy with them. And then we went back to school.When we were in the hall we started changing and talking and then we all went back to class.
